The Afro-American Clubwomen's Project was a grant-funded collecting project, developed by the University of Kansas Women's Studies program, which sought to document the history of African American Women's clubs in Kansas.
Agnes Dawson collection
Agnes (Balloch) Dawson was married to William Dawson III, who served as United States Minister to Ecuador, Colombia, and Uruguay, as well as U.S. Ambassador to Panama between 1931-1941. This collection includes extensive letters written by Agnes to family members describing daily diplomatic life and public social events. Included in her correspondence are photographs and newspaper clippings. A genealogy of her paternal lineage is also included from 1861-1905.

Albert A. Reichert papers
Albert A. Reichert, who lived for many years at Seneca, Kansas, was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, serving with the 22nd Kansas Volunteer Infantry Regiment. These papers include several of his letters of 1898, written to his parents of Holton, Kansas while he was posted at military camps in Virginia and Pennsylvania. His papers contain a small quantity of additional correspondence and his wife's funeral notice of 1951.

This album of scenic views of buildings, topography and architectural details seems to been assembled by an amateur or student artist with the initials H.P. They probably record travels in Denmark, France, Switzerland and Britain circa 1889-1890, but some of the sketches may have been made from photographs.
Album of letters and autographs from New York, New Jersey and Boston literary circles
Album of autographs and letters by members of New York, New Jersey and Boston writing and publishing circles, mostly women. Collected by Annie Isabel (Willis) McCullough, a journalist and children's writer active 1889-1916. Some of the correspondence relates to Wellesley College, which she entered about 1884. She married William H. McCullough in 1894.

Includes 1 signed order from C. Day Lewis, with note on page 9, and 1 signed order from Virginia Woolf also on page 9.
Alexander L. Boyle artworks
Alexander Boyle taught in the design department at the University of Kansas from 1953-1992. The collection includes items in various stages of creation and reproduction from Boyle's art. Boyle's focuses were birds in wildlife, traditional Aztec/Mesoamerican art, and buildings on the campus of the University of Kansas. His works depicting the Campanile and old Fraser Hall are included.
Alfred B. McPhaul papers
The Alfred B. McPhaul Papers reflect the Wichita, Kansas postal worker's involvement in that city's St. Matthew C.M.E. Church and interest in photography. They consist of items related to Gwendolyn Fuller Mukes and her performance at St. Matthew C.M.E. and a brief speech by McPhaul given to the Club Vintige. The two folders are arranged alphabetically.
